Supreme Court judgment: Don’t rejoice, Primate Elijah tells Adeleke

As residents in Osun state awaits the July 5, Supreme Court judgment over Osun state gubernatorial election, the leader of INRI evangelical Church, Primate Ayodele Elijah has cautioned the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, Senator Ademola Adeleke not to rejoice as the result will not be faviourable for him and his party.

Speaking with journalists at the weekend, the man of God declared that the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola will be declared winner of the election by the Supreme Court on Friday.

He said God showed him this in a vision, as against what the PDP candidate said earlier last week that he is confident that he will be declared Governor of Osun state.

The prophet revealed that the Presidency will have a hand in the case and it will further give the APC more chances of victory at the Supreme Court. He therefore enjoined Senator Adeleke not to rejoice yet as he will be disappointed with the court ruling.

In his words, “People don’t want APC in Osun but they will be disappointed with the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment. God will just save Oyetola, PDP efforts is not stable, only God can reserve it. Victory will be handed to Gboyega Oyetola”

News Hub Mag recalls that Senator Ademola Adeleke was in the clear lead before the gubernatorial election was declared inconclusive. A supplementary election was conducted and Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola declared Governor by the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC).

This definitely didn’t go down well the PDP and its candidate, hence the need to drag APC and its candidate to court.

In its first ruling at the tribunal, the court sacked Adegboyega Oyetola as governor while the casserole was taken to the Appeal Court. The Appeal court judgment was delivered in favour of the APC and its candidate.

Both parties are therefore waiting with bated breath for the ruling of the highest court in the country, the Supreme Court which will be on Friday, 5th of July, 2019.
