In addition, the bandits set ablaze the new vehicle of the traders loaded with cows.

The incident occured at Omupo, Kwara state when the meat sellers were on their way to Ado Ekiti.

Speaking with reporters, two of the victims, Mr Olawunmi Oladele and Mr Adeniyi Kolawole explained that the Fulani herdsmen  blocked the road with heavy objects adding that when they made an attempt to reverse the attackers shot at them.

According to them, the attackers  collected their phones, money, ATM and other valuables before setting their vehicle loaded with cows ablaze.

The meat sellers lamented that the vehicle set ablaze was recently procured while they borrowed money to purchase the cows worth over two million naira.
