As part of efforts towards fulfilling his campaign promises, Honourable Rasaq Owolabi, the lawmaker representing Share/Oke-Ode constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, on Sunday, shared money among widows, aged and the less privileged in his constituency.

News Hub Mag! recalls that Owolabi, had engaged in frequent visits to his constituency since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic to share relief materials among his people.

As part of efforts at giving back to the society, Owolabi visited no fewer than five wards in Share/Oke-Ode constituency to share money in various communities.

Among places where the Share born political juggernaut demonstrated his large heart was Ile-Ire ward, communities covered under the ward were; Owa-onire, Idoba, Obin Ayetoro, Owode-ofaro, Afin, Ikosin, Idera, Alabe, Oreke-Okegbo, Oreke-Oke, Babanla, Idomun- Adere, Budo- Idowu.

Speaking with News Hub Mag! after the exercise, the lawmaker appreciated God for granting him the endowment and the will to fulfill some of his campaign promises.

He said, “What I hate most in my life is to be remembered as someone who makes promises and do not fulfill them. Today, I’m here to say thank you for always standing by me and to fulfill vows I made with the widows and the elderly in the community.

“I’ve been able to cover five wards today and it won’t stop there, next week, we are moving to Share ward five. We want everyone to known that the present government, under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq mean well for Kwarans. No one will be left out in the scheme of things, we will enjoy what we voted for.”

Reacting to the gesture, one of the beneficiaries, Salami Saka, commended the lawmaker, describing him as a God sent to the people of Share and its environs.

“Owolabi is a God sent to us, he has been a good representative. We don’t regret having him. This money came when we least expected it and it will cater for our needs. We urged other politicians to emulate this gesture,” Saka
said.

Another beneficiary, Mrs Alade Ibironke, also commended Owolabi for keeping his promise and urged him not to forget to attend to other plights of the people of his constituency.

“We appreciate what you are doing for us and we pray God will always lift you high. There are other areas of concern. We urge you to continue in this good works.” Ibironke said.
