COVID-19: Nigeria announces 665 confirmed cases

There is a sudden increase of coronavirus cases in Nigeria as the country’s Center for Disease Control on Monday announced 38 new cases of which 23 are in Kano, 5 in Gombe, 3 in Kaduna, 2 in Borno, 2 in Abia, 1 in FCT, 1 in Sokoto and the other one in Ekiti.

According to NCDC, the 38 upsurge increase of the pandemic coronavirus was discovered at 11.10pm on Monday night April 2020.

The agency claimed that 188 patient have been discharged while it currently records 665 new cases. However, Lagos state which is the epicenter of the disease recorded zero cases on Monday evening.

It would be recalled that as at 11:50 pm on Sunday, NCDC announced 86 new cases of coronavirus in the country.

And of the 86 cases, 70 were recorded in Lagos, 7 in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi, 1 in Borno.

The total breakdown of the disease state by state as announced by NCDC are as follows;
